No free lunch on social media

An open roundtable titled ‘No free lunch on social media‘, devoted to social media and privacy, will take place on 24 January 2013 (8 pm) at De Markten, in Brussels. Participants include: Jo Pierson, iMinds-SMIT Vrije Universiteit Brussel (BE), Dominique Deckmyn, De Standaard (BE, Colin J. Bennett, University of Victoria (CA), Rob Heyman, iMinds-SMIT Vrije Universiteit Brussel (BE), Alain Heureux, IAB (EU), and Bruno Schröder, Microsoft Belux (BE). The objective of having a public debate is essentially to raise discussions and to get people interested in the issue at stake, so involving attendees. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required; please register here. This event is scheduled in the context of the CPDP 2013 International Conference, and organised by the User empowerment in a Social Media Culture (EMSOC) research project.
